Admittedly, Canyon isn’t around the corner for most Texans. But this town, just south of Amarillo, has one of the best Art Deco buildings in the state, at the Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum. They’ve just restored Pioneer Hall to its original splendor, and had a “barbed wire cutting ceremony” on August 25. We adore this space — go see it next time you’re ramblin’ around the panhandle.
