Well, it’s time to put behind you the painful memory of flat-roof-luvin’ architects Herzog & de Meuron being run off campus by the aesthetic experts on the UT Board of Regents. Why??? The Blanton has unveiled its new museum design, courtesy of Boston architects Kallmann McKinnell & Wood!!! With plans for an impressive entrance on Speedway & MLK, including some kind of fountain, this should help the south side of campus. And hey: it’s good to see something being built in the capital.
