Menil Director Ned Rifkin has finally announced he’s fleeing to the Hirschhorn in D.C. Rifkin came from Atlanta’s High Museum in February 2000 to perform a thankless job with the board from hell. He leaves the Menil Collection having made some controversial hires and not, perhaps, having boosted the staff’s sagging morale. Mixed feelings abound.
