Ol’ DiverseWorks has an interesting idear for a summer fundraiser: buy a ticket for $100 and you’re guaranteed a 8″ square work of art. The trick is, you don’t know who’s made it until after to pick it out, and DW draws tickets lottery-style to determine the order in which people get to pick. Apparently similar efforts in other places have involved artwork scalping and frenzied fistfights.
