Charles L. Venable, the senior curator of decorative art and design at the Dallas Museum of Art, is leaving big D to be deputy director of collections and programs at the Cleveland Museum of Art. At the DMA, Venable organized such shows as From Table Top to TV Tray: Glass in America, 1880-1980, and Hot Cars, High Fashion, Coll Stuff: Designs of the 20th Century. Venable was interim director of the DMA and has apparently been moving towards the administrative side for a while. Good luck in Cleveland, Charles!!
