Hunting PLC has put out their call for the '08 Hunting Prize. This year's prize was something of a debacle, in the view of many of the finalists. But Hunting contacted Glasstire after we wrote about it and said they were committed to improving the process and the event itself. Unfortunately, they're still only accepting a single image for the first round of jurying, though at least they're asking for digital files rather than slides this year. Only time will tell if they can turn this hefty $50,000 purse into a respected and exciting competition…it's open to any artist in Texas, so those who weren't completely turned off by this year's event need to get their stuff in by November 30!
