Well, it's Thanksgiving week, which judging from the old Glasstire inbox, apparently means it's not too early to start thinking about next spring's blockbuster exhibitions at TX museums. Houston Center for Contemporary Craft will have Craft in America, a big PBS hoo-doo; Pompeii at MFAH will pack them in; the DMA is hosting the big Turner retrospective; MAMFW (as previously mentioned in the news) will have the Martin Puryear show; and next summer, the Kimbell hosts Impressionist masterworks from the Art Institute of Chicago and El Paso presents classic sports photography!! Yippee!!!! (AMOA, ever-serious, is breaking with the trend by presenting its third triennial of emerging Austin artists before its big Sol Lewitt show.)
