ARTPIX has received an NEA grant for $15,000! The grant, one of several going to Texas institutions, is aimed at creating "access to artistic excellence," and is not intended directly for the excellence itself, which, since the nineties, has been left to fend for itself. Other grants in the visual arts went to the Art Museum of Southeast Texas, Beaumont; Artpace, Inc.
San Antonio; Centro del Obrero Fronterizo, Inc.
El Paso; and DiverseWorks, Inc., Houston.
