This Saturday, Feb 28, artist Kevin Curry, recent recipient of one of the new Idea Fund grants, is inviting the public to a quilting bee at Houston’s Lawndale Arts Center. Curry needs help to complete his Houswarming Project, a mammoth log-cabin quilt with which he will wrap an old house in Houston. Bring fabric scraps, a sewing machine, or just yourself to sort, cut and stitch onto the already 800 square-foot blanket. 12:00 – 5:00pm in Lawndale’s third floor classroom.
