Photographer Lesley Nowlin‘s L. Nowlin Gallery is opening May 2 in Austin’s West End in the space at 1202 W. 6th St. that was previously F8 Gallery. The new space will "expose work by local photographers [her pun, not mine] that haven’t had a place to present their work in the past. Many photographers show at coffee houses and restaurants, but I want to bring the pure gritty, grainy, realistic, black and white photography back into the world of art – which is how photography started.” The grand opening is on May 2, 6-8 pm.
