Art writer Lawrence Weschler, author of both Seeing is Forgetting the Name of the Thing One Sees: Thirty Years of Conversations with Robert Irwin (an expanded reissue of his 1982 classic) and True to Life: Twenty-Five Years of Conversations with David Hockney, has mediated a sort of secondhand debate between these two big-name california artists who disagree about everything, and he’s going to talk about it, and them, at the Crowley theater in Marfa on Tuesday, September 8 at 7:30pm. Admission is free and everyone is invited to attend.
