After the big, fancy poster he sent me with his press release, I can’t help but mention graphic artist (and drummer) Carlos Hernandez’s Day of the Dead Rock Stars show opening October 30 (7pm) at Houston’s Record Ranch gallery inside Cactus Music. Hernandez’s artworks memorialize Freddie Mercury, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Freddy Fender, Otis Redding and others in Dia De los Muertos style.
