On Friday, December 11, French sculptor Bernar Venet will be in town installing 15 monumental sculptures at eight "meticulously selected high profile locations" in Houston’s Hermann park. Bad weather has postponed the scheduled press conference, but the massive steel pieces, like the Grinch’s overloaded sleigh, have a momentum of their own. With this exhibition, Houston will join 20 other international cities to hold a Bernar Venet exhibition. The show will open for public viewing on January 23, 2010.
