The most recent Texas museum to "restructure admissions prices" is Austin’s Blanton Museum of Art at UT. For the new year, adult tickets are now $9, not $7, with seniors, students (non-UT, that is), and youths taking even harder hits with their prices going up to $7, $5 and $5 from $5, $3 and $3! So far, they’re hanging onto their free third Thursday evenings (5:30-9pm).
