Three iconic Genie Car Wash signs in Austin, slated to be removed by the business’ new owners have been granted a reprieve; H2O Hand Car Wash and Detail’s founder bowed to irate sign-lovers and will keep the iconic smiling genie, with a macho-enhancing facelift by Victor Dearmond’s Sun Signs. Also saved are the steps for children to watch the cars go through the wash.
