The Plano school district has dropped its ban on a textbook it pulled after a complaint about its photos of nude sculptures. The district says it changed course following "impassioned pleas" from students and parents who accused officials of censorship. A couple of parents objected to 49 images in Culture and Values: A Survey of the Humanities: Alternative Volume, particularly Greek and Roman nudes, Michelangelo’s hunky David and Rodin’s racy The Kiss.
