The Texas Cultural Trust has announced its 2011 medal of arts winners. Among the writers, film-makers, musicians etc., visual artist James Drake and director of the Ransome center at UT Austin Tom Staley will receive medals from Gov. Rick Perry, and get to rub shoulders with political, media, and artistic notables at a gala, corporate-sponsored dinner on March 1.
