Houston’s Willowbrook Mall is host to the Northwest Assistance Ministries’ 13th “Art for the Hungry” sculpture-building event between February 27 and March 13. Participants build a sculptures out of at least 1,000 nonperishable food items, which are donated to NAM’s food pantry after the competition. Shoppers can vote for their favorite sculpture for 25 cents. Appropriately, this year’s theme is “out of this world.”
