The first ever Archie comic book was sold in Dallas at Heritage Auctions’ Feb. 24-25 Comics & Comics Art Auction for an all time record $167,300 to an unidentified west coast collector. It’s a new high for non-superhero comics prices. Original art by Carl Barks, Robert Crumb, Frank Miller, was also snapped up for hefty sums.
