Jessica May has been promoted from Assistant to Associate Curator of Photography at the Amon Carter museum in Ft. Worth, which has a surprisingly extensive collection. The high-powered May joined the museum in 2006 after a B.A. from Barnard, an M.A. and PhD from UC Berkeley, and a fellowship at the Met in NY. Her first big show, which grew out of her doctoral dissertation, is currently touring at the Art Institute of Chicago; for her next project, May is curating Subhankar Banerjee: Where I Live I Hope to Know, which opens on May 14 at the Carter.
