MFAH’s renowned Tucker becomes more renowned with honorary PhD

Anne Wilkes Tucker, the MFAH’s star curator of photography was awarded an honorary PhD by the State University of NY, Brockport. Although Tucker was unable to attend the graduation ceremony, remarks she prepared for the occasion are online! Tucker founded the MFAH’s photo department in 1976 and has been universally acclaimed: TIME magazine honored Tucker as “America’s Best Curator,” and American Photo Magazine featured her among the “100 Most Important People in Photography.”
