In Glasstire’s biennial game of spot-the-Texans, the best I can find is the inclusion of deceased Bay City visionary artist Forrest Bess, as chosen by Robert Gober, but if you spot another one . . .

Well I guess The Red Krayola has Texas roots. The band was formed here back in the 60’s and Mayo Thompson was born in Houston. But after all these years it would be like calling Deborah Kass a Texas artist because she was born here while her father was in the military.
Richard Hawkins was born and raised in Mexia TX and is an alumni of UT Austin.
