Yesterday, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston (MFAH) formally broke ground for the Fayez S. Sarofim Campus, beginning with the new Glassell School of Art. In celebration, it is holding a huge block party tonight along Bissonnet Street (the street will be closed to traffic from Montrose Blvd to Main St.) and inside of the Museum’s Cullen Sculpture Garden.
Music will be provided by DJ Sun, DJ Melodic, and DJ Chicken George. The block party goes from 8pm to midnight, but it’s a smart move to get there early. Entrance is on a first-come, first served basis. Party-goers get a discount on entrance to the Rothko Show.
