Okay, it’s not Nina Simone’s birthday yet. The American musical genius, civil rights activist, and all-around bad-ass would have been 83 years old this Sunday, February 21, had she not died in France in 2003. So, mark your calendars: this Sunday, the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston’s film department will screen the documentary The Amazing Nina Simone (2015, 108 min.) at 5pm, followed by a Skype Q&A with director Jeff Lieberman.
