See the Sistine Chapel—in Mexico

Good news: now you don’t have to travel 5700 miles to Italy to see Michelangelo’s monumental frescos. Instead, you can go to Mexico City where Antonio Berumen has created a full-sized replica of the Sistine Chapel comprised of photographic reproductions printed on canvas. The 45 million peso (~$2.4 million USD) project involved 170 nights of photographing the original frescos, resulting in more than 2.6 million images that were combined to create the faux chapel.
