Note: the following is part of Glasstire’s series of short videos, Five-Minute Tours, for which commercial galleries, museums, nonprofits and artist-run spaces across the state of Texas send us video walk-throughs of their current exhibitions. This will continue while the coronavirus situation hinders public access to exhibitions. Let’s get your show in front of an audience.

Christian Cruz: Living Portraits of Abstract Rituals at ex ovo, Dallas. Dates: November 25 – December 13, 2020.
Via ex ovo:
“Living Portraits of Abstract Rituals is the first solo exhibition by multi-media artist Christian Cruz. For one night only, Living Portraits of Abstract Rituals presents three installations, each activated by a performer for three hours. Using stillness as a framework for abstraction, the exhibition illustrates how ritualizing everyday moments gets transformed. While the activated installations serve as allegories for hard work, the only piece without a live performer is a video investigating non-labor. Installations activated by: Amy Zapien, Colton James White, Brooke Chaney, and Paloma Salas.”
